Oak filing cabinet
Handsome 16-drawer oak filing cabinet, that comes in four parts with two panelled ends. Exceptionally rare to find one of this scale, and even more rare to find one with metal frames to accept hanging files.
All the original oak handles, and card plates are present, and all drawers are on their original ‘cantilever’ runners, that allow the drawer to be fully opened without drooping. Original maker’s label to each of the four pillars, and a later transfer, which I have left, but could obviously removed if desired. The end panel photographed is a new exact copy of the other end, and attached in the same way. A few minor losses in keeping with age, but nothing in the least off-putting. And obviously happy to include a huge number of fairly modern A4 hanging files as shown! The hanging-file frames can easily be removed if not needed.
