Mid Century oak desk

A really stylish mid Century Italian oak desk / dressing table, with a brass rail  between the leg stretchers, elegant brass handle to the drawer, and a mirror to the lift-up right side. Attributed to Toesletta  Pei by Gio Ponti. The drawer-front has nicely quartered oak veneers, and the beech legs are exposed to the ends in a pleasing design. Don’t be fooled by the photos that make the top appear different colours – it’s just the way the grain catches the light. Now in beautiful condition, having been stripped and given an oil and wax finish, and looking really crisp. A really neat home desk, with a compact size, and the perfect height. The floor to apron height is 64cm.
