THE SHOP

Ben’s shop is in the heart of East London’s bustling Columbia Road Flower Market, where it has been trading since 2003. His stock ranges widely, from large-scale storage pieces through armchairs to small desk lamps. Pieces typically date from 1900 to 1950 and encompass a diverse mix of useful, beautiful and quirky things for the home.

The shop has been featured in several publications, including Time Out’s London’s Best 500 Shops, Eat Shop London, and the London Design Guide.

Ben spent over a decade restoring furniture in a London workshop before setting up his own business. Over the years he has forged good links with dealers from across Europe, including France, Germany, The Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Ben also has a long-standing relationship with his upholster, guaranteeing a consistently high standard of workmanship.

COLUMBIA ROAD FLOWER MARKET

Every Sunday for over 100 years, the stalls of Columbia Road Flower Market have drawn crowds from across London and beyond.

Always busy, colourful and vibrant the flower stalls are now complemented by a healthy mix of food and coffee shops, independent boutiques and a couple of great pubs.

Anyone who has not yet had the pleasure of visiting will be charmed by the many sights and sounds that this picturesque quarter has to offer.
