19c mahogany display cabinet

Beautiful 19C mahogany English shop display cabinet, with a mirrored back and three glass shelves. The mirrored back has achieved some lovely clouding, particularly to the lower panels, and of course the mahogany has the usual light wear consistent with age, as well as a couple of very sensitive repairs. Beautiful brass turn-handles, and the doors open and close well. Of the three glass shelves, two appear  to be exceptionally thick, and almost certainly original, and the third is not new, but also of a reasonable depth. A few minor chips, but nothing off-putting and barely register. They appear to be easily adjustable, but I have left them in their original positions which correlate with the panelling to the mirror back. Again, four of the bearers are more intricate, and probably original, and two perhaps somewhat later, but still very much period, and exactly as found. I have added a couple of brass fixings to the top, to allow the piece to be secured against the wall. A really handsome piece, probably from a chemist’s shop, but wonderful in any setting.
