Antique shaving stand

Handsome and unusual antique telescopic shaving mirror, with a heavy and beautiful cast iron base, a mahogany table top, and an adjustable mirror to the top. Lovely light foxing to the original bevelled glass, and good colour and patination to both the wood and brass. The reverse of the mirror has been left in as-found state, and the mahogany just just given a light oil, so as to preserve its original condition. A really rare find, with a beautiful mix of brass, copper, mahogany and cast iron, that could only have come from England in the late 19C. The piece is telescopic, so height given is as photographed. The table top as photographed  is 101cm high by 34cm diameter.
