French heavily foxed mirror

French over-mantle late 19C mirror, with the most amazing foxing to the original bevelled glass. The frame is in as-found slightly shabby condition, with losses to the gesso, but handsome none the less with the tortoiseshell finish and gilt and black edging. But of course the glass is the real draw, and this is just exceptional if you like it ‘cloudy’. The gesso could probably be restored relatively easily if required, and brass plates can be supplied for wall-hanging.
