Oak sectional bookcase with bureau

Handsome oak sectional bookcase with three lift-up and slide-back glazed doors, a base with four drawers, and a central bureau with a fitted interior. These were often found in barristers’ or Doctors’ offices, but rare to find one combining the glazed sections with the storage ones. Good vintage condition, with a working lock with key to the bureau, brass cup-handles to the drawers, and neat brass handles to the glazed doors. A great look, and a useful piece, with a really compact footprint. The internal dimensions of the upper glazed section are H: 23cm x W: 82cm x D: 26cm.
